A complete covers every inside bet that touches a number: the number, splits, streets, corners and six lines. Each position takes its own number of chips: number 1, split 2, street 3, corner 4, six line 6.
Cost of a complete in units: a number in the middle of the layout — 40, on the edge — 30, zero — 17, 1 and 3 — 27, 2 — 36, 34 and 36 — 18, 35 — 24.
Cost in money is units times the unit: a complete on 17 at 25 costs 40 × 25 = 1000.
Overlaps and the maximum
When completes sit next to each other, their shared positions add up.
Each position has its own maximum: a number — the max per number, a split — twice that, a street — three times, a corner — four times, a six line — six times.
The answer is the total excess: across all positions above their maximum, how much they go over it.
